Jean-Marie Burgaud to Champ Libre
Paris, 23 July 1977
Sir:

Representing the interests of Ramon Tamames, leader of the Spanish Communist Party and Deputy in the Spanish Legislature, I propose that you publish in French two of his writings:

Adonde vas, Espana?[1] More than 80,000 copies have been distributed to date, and a new edition – taking account of the post-electoral situation – will be ready at the end of the summer.

La Republica: la era de Franco.[2] More than 60,000 copies of the Spanish edition have been distributed.

I place myself at your disposal and will send you copies of these works in case their publication interests you.

Sincerely yours,
Jean-Marie Burgaud

[1] Where is Spain headed?

[2] The Republic: The Franco Era.
