Dear comrades:

Can you quickly specify for us if you prefer July or September as the date for the next meeting of delegates? The preceding meeting at Wolsfeld proposed Hamburg as the place to meet. We are not opposed. What you you think?

On the other hand, after a discussion with Comrade Salvadori, we propose to hold the IXth Conference [of the Situationist International] towards the end of December or in January. What do you think, and Jon [Horelick] particularly? As for the location of this IXth Conference, the next delegate meeting will fix it.

The recent development in France of several dozen "Leftist" attacks that have diverse origins (with the almost certain presence of police manipulations) seems to presage the mounting of a repressive blow of more or less great scope.

In case the police have the vulgarity to pretend to compromise us, we propose that a meeting of the comrades (the Europeans, at least) be held immediately in a place like Switzerland. The French comrade(s) who remain(s) free would come to this meeting.

Starting now, Gianfranco [Sanguinetti], who knows this country, can discretely decide upon the location of a site from which to communicate to all of us.

Without dead time, without constraints,

[Francois de] Beaulieu, [Guy] Debord, [Rene] Riesel,
[Raoul] Vaneigem, [Rene] Vienet
