I thank you for sending a copy of Class Struggles,[2] since it is unfortunately too late to thank the author himself.[3] I suppose that the copy was directly swiped from the publisher by an indelicate collector. I am obviously not surprised that Daniel Guerin approved of 1968, but at the time I did not know about this re-edition of his best book. Fortunately, I read the preceding edition.[4]
Quite cordially,[1] Unidentified addressee.
[2] The Class Struggle under the First Republic by Daniel Guerin (reprinted by Gallimard). The copy was signed "To Guy Debord, his friend, Daniel Guerin."
[3] He died in 1988.
[4] Dated 1946.
