I am thrilled that my letter[1] was like a slap in the face to those "responsible" financiers [at Arte TV]. That was my goal and it will remain established for the future. It will thus be necessary that they get used to what is obvious. I have remarked that this useful clarification has not at all augmented their haste to risk, on their side, some concrete action towards the project upon which they have declared themselves to be decided.
For the next three or four weeks, I find myself occupied with urgent matters concerning publishing. At the end of this period of work, we can reconsider with more precision the unexpected progress in our investigations on the terrain of the image.
Amicably,[1] Dated 27 March 1993.
