Video surveillance -- in Stuttgart, it's been a controversal subject for two years and a reality for four months; and in New York, it's an everyday thing. As a result, the activists of the Surveillance Camera Players (SCP) have occupied themselves with this issue, not only by exposing Big Brother, but by going even further: for years they have organized "surveillance camera walks" through New York. The activists use a form of placard-theatre to get their message through to the by-standers. These experts in the surveillance business now place their work in front of us. They will explain what "face recognition software" is, and what the consequences of this identification-programme will be. Anyone who has spent a little time in the Rotebuehlplatz will want to be informed.
